Week Plan was created in 2010 by Aymeric Gaurat-Apelli, the founder and original inventor of the platform. What started as a personal solution to Aymeric’s own productivity challenges has since grown into a global tool trusted by individuals, teams, and organizations seeking more meaningful focus.
At the time, Aymeric was juggling a demanding full-time role as a software development consultant while managing several side projects that were attracting massive traffic — some reaching over one million users per day. Despite the success, he found himself struggling to stay aligned with what truly mattered. Traditional to-do lists weren’t enough. He needed a system that helped him prioritize, stay intentional, and maintain clarity amidst rapid growth.
Driven by this need, Aymeric designed the first version of Week Plan — a tool inspired by goal-oriented planning principles and the philosophy of focusing on high-impact actions. It quickly resonated with others facing the same challenges, grew organically, and became the foundation of what Week Plan is today.
Week Plan operates under WisePlan INC, an US company founded to support the continued development and evolution of the product.
Our team brings years of experience in software engineering, product design, and productivity systems. This combined expertise enables us to build tools that don’t just look good — they genuinely help people improve the way they work and live. Over the years, Week Plan has evolved with input from millions of users and the collective knowledge of our global team.
From the beginning, Week Plan has been shaped by well-established productivity frameworks such as the Eisenhower Matrix, OKRs, time blocking, weekly planning based on “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. These principles run at the core of our product design. We believe that productivity tools should be rooted in methodology — not just features — and that real improvement comes from aligning daily tasks with long-term goals.
Over the years, Week Plan has expanded with the support of a diverse, fully distributed team. Today, our team of eight professionals from around the world continues to refine and innovate the platform while staying true to its core purpose:
To help people and their organizations align their actions with their vision
We believe productivity is not just about doing more — it’s about doing what truly matters. Week Plan exists to make that possible.
